My siblings and I grew up in Illinois, in a small city called Lansing.
Lansing is about an hour outside of Chicago and in Cook County.
One of the reasons why my siblings and I grew up in Lansing, is due to the fact that our dad was a pilot for a large and well known airline. The Chicago airport was his home base. It was too expensive to live in the city, so my parents found a place in Lansing. My dad spent most of his time flying all around the world and it was just my siblings and I and our mom. She spent a lot of time with us after school and always made sure that we did our homework and study. I went to college after High School and earned a degree in business. I started working for an accounting firm in Lansing. I’ve been here a long time and I actually find the area to be very peaceful and relaxing. The only time I regret living in Lansing is during the months of January and February. It can be extremely cold during these months and there is often snowfall or freezing precipitation. I had a problem with the gas furnace last year and I spent a fortune to replace the heating components. I had to contact an emergency furnace repair service in Lansing to have the system service in the middle of the night. It was in the single digits and I didn’t have any wood for the fireplace.
