We used to live in Orland Park when we started out.
We had a three-bedroom house there and we decided to move to the city after my wife got a promotion at work. We were going to sell the house in Orland Park, but we decided to keep the place as a rental and stay. We’ve had a couple of problems from time to time with the place, but now the house in Orland Park needs renovations badly. One of the biggest issues is the heating and air conditioning system. It gets cold in that part of the state and heating is an important part of the winter months. The last time we had renters in the house, we had to replace the furnace. The renters called us three days in a row complaining about cold temperatures in the house. When I sent a furnace repair service, the tenants refused to let their guy into the house. I have no idea why they would not allow the repair service to come in, but they called me the next day and asked me to send someone else. I was beyond frustrated with the rental tenants and I told them that I was not going to renew their lease the following month. Now that the tenants are out of the house, I have time to make all of the renovations and repairs necessary. The next time we rent the place, we’re going to find better tenants and charge a higher rental fee.
