Summer is right around the corner, & I can believe the weather getting warmer as we inch closer, and the beauty about the Summer is that we have so various outdoor events happening in my town… Lansing is a small suburb right outside of Chicago, & though we are a smaller town, we have plenty to keep us entertained, in fact, various people from the city drive over to Lansing for some of our yearly festivals & events.
The festivals & events are mostly held at Fox Pointe, which is an entertainment center in the heart of downtown. It opened about 4 years ago, & we were all gleeful about this new locale because it brought a new locale for the family to spend time outdoors… And because we have such amazing weather here, we never worry about being too sizzling while at these events. The locale is outdoors, so there is no a/c available. And in the colder months, there is no heat available either. Thankfully, most of the events are held in the warmer months, when it is nice enough to be outside, then both of us only have 1 or various events in the colder months, & I must say that, 1 year, I was chilly for 1 of them; Whenever I needed to hot up, I kept going into the restroom where there was some heat available. I am just glad that I don’t need to be outside a lot while in the colder months, & thankfully, I have a fantastic gas furnace that keeps my beach cabin hot & comfortable.
