After my Dad plus dad retired, they decided to transfer to Albuquerque, NM; I was distraught to see my Dad plus dad transfer so far away from home, however they were convinced that moving to Albuquerque was the right decision for them.
I actually could not argue with their decision, after all, they are my parents, but my dad died five years after my parents moved to Albuquerque plus my Dad has been alone since then. My sister plus I flew to Albuquerque last year to visit, then both of us were both surprised by the conditions all of us found at our moms condo, then she had not cleaned the site in at least a week. There were dirty dishes in the sink that had mold plus mildew. The A/C wasn’t working either. It was about 85 degrees inside of the home when my sister plus I visited plus it was all my Mother’s Day. My Dad still had to deal with more than one more weeks of sizzling rapidly changing temperatures… When my sister plus I saw their conditions, all of us abruptly realized that Dad could no longer stay in Albuquerque. My sister plus I discussed everything plus decided that all of us would approach Dad to see if she would transfer back apartment to live with a single of us. Even when all of us mentioned the broken A/C component plus the dirty dishes in the sink. Dad refused to assume that she could no longer take care of herself. She refused to leave with my sister plus I plus told us that all of us need to mind our own supplier from now on. I’m not sure what to do next.
