I wanted the snow for Christmas, even though I needed a oil furnace.

Since Evansville, IL only has about fifty afternoons when there is inclement weather, I knew that moving there could mean I would not have snow for Christmas… December’s average quarterly high was only 48 degrees, but that was why I moved to IL! I was tired of the northern chilly plus dampness, then there was traditional Heating & Air Conditioning in our home, because that forty 8 degrees was cold. It was surprising how suddenly I got used to the lack of humidity plus seriously chilly air. I liked being able to go out on a brisk day, plus take a walk separate from chilly to death from the chilly damp air. I came home to guess the heat of our oil furnace, plus I was happy. I could guess the sun on our face nearly every day of the year. I had to admit that I missed the snow for Christmas, even though I still needed our oil furnace, then last year, our wife had a special Christmas present for me, and both of us had lived in IL for almost several years when I told him how much I undoubtedly missed snow. I even hinted at going back up north so we could maybe have an old-fashioned Christmas, but we never made it. I woke up to see snowflakes outside our window; My wife had hired someone with a snow maker to come to our house plus make snow on our front sod; She opened the curtains plus said Merry Christmas. It was the best Christmas present I ever had, plus our neighbor’s children were on our shrubbery trying to build a snowman.
