Both of us recently got hit with a extreme Winter storm in Glenview Illinois.
It was deranged plus it happened over Christmas… My family was supposed to go out to my parents plus visit with them.
Instead both of us were stuck at home; What stunk is that our rural section meant that nobody was plowing the roads! Both of us had power plus the ice wasn’t too bad; The roads were just covered in feet of snow. So the family plus I had to stay home. I will confess not traveling on Christmas afternoon was wonderful. My kids genuinely got to spend time around our family tree plus play with their gifts. I threw together a grilled cheese plus squash soup supper. What was especially nice is that I had just gotten the heating plan inspected. It worked so well plus I wasn’t afraid at all of a repair. The gas furnace was powerful enough to keep the whole condo warm. It is also gas powered. If there would have been a power outage, I would have been all set to still have heat in the house. That gave us a large peace of mind, then after that experience, I would never rely on electric based heating again; Gas power is entirely the way to go, then our Christmas ended up being 1 of my favorites. It was easy to see my parents later in the week when the roads were clear. The kids were in a better mood to do that as well, but how good is that? Everyone won that afternoon.
