Late last year, Buffalo was hit with a single of the worst ice storms that I have ever experienced in our life; The storm dumped up to 4 feet of snow in some parts of the city, but as a result, there were numerous people trapped in their cars plus inside their homes because there was nowhere to escape to.
The town was locked down, plus some of the people who were trapped in their cars, unluckyly didn’t make it out, so, it was a pretty bad storm that caused millions in damages, and during the storm, thoUSAnds of residents lost power plus had no way of keeping their homes comfortable! For those who had generators, they were able to link space oil oil furnaces to them.
And if the generator was large enough, it could run the gas furnace as well; My family also lost power while I was in that snowstorm, but thankfully, our apartment has a fireplace. Although the fireplace can’t keep the entire apartment warm, it was great enough for us while the two of us had no power. Typically, the two of us never use the fireplace, then in fact, that was really the third time that the two of us used it since we’ve lived in this house. But our husband prepared for the storm, plus he knew that the two of us would really lose power, so he cleaned out the fireplace plus he stocked up on wood for it, but he also purchased a couple of propane tanks, so the two of us could cook our food while I was in the outage. These are some of the challenges that the two of us face living in Buffalo, but it’s nice to have alternative ways to keep our home comfortable while I was in major storms that cause power outages.
