I called toil to say I wasn't coming in

I’ve been laboring at a eating establishment in downtown Jacksonville, FL for the past 3 months; I started laboring at the eating establishment right after the summer time season begin, then when I first started laboring at the eating establishment, the AC unit worked fine, but the eating establishment has commercial central a/c, but there is a single mini split AC unit in the living room area for the staff. The living room is quite big plus I do not believe that one a/c unit is enough for all of that square footage plus people. I have been feeling absolutely sick plus nauseous every evening that I am at work, and between the Heat of the oven plus the flames from the grill, there isn’tenough cool air to truly make the temperature colder. It’s entirely 110° in the back of that downtown Jacksonville, FL eating establishment. When the a/c unit broke down last evening, I told my boss that I wasn’t coming back to toil unless it was fixed. I called one of my friends that works the day shift at the eating establishment. I asked if there was a service lady at the eating establishment or if the AC unit had been fixed. My acquaintance informed me that it was still 100° in the back of the eating establishment! Since the complications with the a/c unit weren’t fixed, I called toil to tell my boss that I wasn’t coming in for my shift. My boss truly sounded surprised, but I warned him that I wasn’t going to toil in the heat plus humidity any longer.
