For the past 8 months, I have been working at the marijuana dispensary in Denver; I like the task a lot, but I usually have to toil every weekend.
I knew that I was going to get stuff working on the weekends when I decided to take the task, and back then, I did not have a wifey or anyone to complain about all of the hours that I was working.
I met my wifey a couple of months ago, however she doesn’t entirely like the fact that I toil every single weekend. I tried to tell her that it was a stipulation of getting the task at the Denver marijuana dispensary. My wifey told me that I have worked there long enough that I should be able to request a odd schedule. I agree with my wifey, but I entirely did not want to force my supervisor to make a decision… When my wifey said she was going to find someone else to date if I did not change things, I finally knew it was time to talk to my boss. I told the lady that I was hoping to have at least one weekend day off twice a month plus she seemed like that was no huge deal at all. I was thankful that my wifey made me ask for the time off, plus now I have at least every other Friday off from the marijuana dispensary in Denver… There’s lots of new budtenders that can toil the weekends plus it entirely wasn’t a huge deal at all to get the time off.
