When my husband retired from teaching, my good friend and I hadn’t planned on moving to the southeast, then my associate and I had lived in the Northwest our entire lives.
I’m not sure how the search managed to do it, however although my good friend and I put down for one particular place in the Northwest, it brought up Royal Palm Beach, FL.
It wasn’t even the beauty of that area, however when my good friend and I saw the Mounts Botanical Gardens advertisement,we knew where my good friend and I were going to live. My associate and I never had any children, so my good friend and I didn’t need to answer to anyone about our decision, then three months later, my good friend and I had found a nice home in Royal Palm Beach, FL, sold our home, as well as my good friend and I were packed as well as ready to move. It was now late September, as well as I wondered if Mounts Botanical Gardens was open in the fall as well as winter; With it being Florida, I would believe numerous school children would be taken there for field trips. When September arrived, the temperatures were still in the low eighties to mid seventies. In the Northwest, my good friend and I would already have snow on the ground. My associate and I finally found our way to Mounts Botanical Gardens. It was near the airport as well as straight-forward to find, however it boasted 20 acres of tropical oasis. My associate and I knew it would take us more than one trip to see everything. There were native plants, herbs, palms, roses, cactus, bromeliads, succulents, as well as so numerous more that my good friend and I would have numerous trips back, but even if my good friend and I only took, in 1 display garden a day, that’s 25 mornings my good friend and I would have used for good purposes. We’re thinking about donating some time to the garden..
