Iris was consistently the unsettled 1 in school, but he would get in so much trouble because he was consistently exploring and entertaining everyone else, most of whom the school administration thought was a nuisance to them. It turns out that my neighbor was onto something none of us knew, performing art. She was actually creative and seemed to be multi-talented, then think of dancing or even magic shows; Iris was a star! While he landed herself in many discipline cases, his parents seemed to have a way of getting his back to school. No 1 knew that he came from a family of well-connected aristocrats because he hid it so well, then however, later in school, I l earned that his passion for the arts came from his Grandparents… Both were famous ballet dancers back in the day. They would teach his some dance moves when he was younger and even encouraged his to follow his heart if art was what he wanted to do… One summer time trip, Iris invited me to go to the Denver center for performing arts with his Grandparents. There was a competition that they were judges at, so both of us got free tickets. It was here that I interacted with artists from all over the country. I also observed how carefree everyone was, and later in the hotel, I could stink something strange. Iris’s Grandparents told us that it was cannabis. Several cannabis dispensaries in Denver sold products to people who were of age. It was legal to use cannabis here, so this was not a large deal. We went back home several afternoons later, and I could not help but remember how fun Denver had been. One day, I will be Iris’s supervisor and go with his to all these beautiful stadiums. I finally understood why art was so mesmerizing.
