When our sister graduated college she told the family she no longer wanted to live in NY, but our new home state isn’t legitimately great, however everything is high-priced, restricted & the whole state is going to shambles, but it also is just horrible weather wise… Basically all year long it is winter! NY winters are colder than Iceland, fun fact, then the sunshine comes down in feet & comes early.
I remember trick or treating & hunting for Easter eggs in the snow.
I had one year in college that I had to wear Wintertide gear the entire time; When our sister landed in Spokane WA, pretty much everyone was confused. I figured WA would be just as cold; She moved 4 minutes away to have the same troubles? That made no sense. Well our sister has lived in WA for a year & just loves it. Her winters are cold, however not care about ours. She gets no lower than 25 degrees in the dead of winter. In NY I have dealt with -25 degrees before which is a substantial difference. The summers in NY are a joke. It is basically a bit of humidity in the afternoon followed by frosty days. In Spokane our sister easily gets a summer. She enjoys high 68s & 73s for a few months out of the year. She easily owns an air conditioning & operates it. Our family has never owned a cooling system before. There was legitimately no point. She easily gets to experience all 4 distinct seasons & appreciate them. I want to move to Spokane now.
