While my wife and I were visiting Santa Barbara, we decided to go to a restaurant on opening night.
My wife and I got reservations from the hotel concierge desk.
Both of us were excited about the new restaurant. My wife and I are vegans and there aren’t a lot of restaurants that only serve vegetables. When we find a restaurant that specializes in our diet, we try to visit the location. Very few places serve vegan food, even in California. When we found out about the Santa Barbara restaurant, my wife and I immediately tried to make reservations. Our time was 7:30. We arrived around 7 p.m. We waited outside the restaurant until 7:20. At that time, I decided to walk up to the door to see if our table was ready. That’s when I found out that there was going to be a 3-hour wait for our table. Both of us were hungry and I wasn’t prepared to wait 3 hours to eat dinner at a restaurant that I didn’t know if we would enjoy. We decided to leave the restaurant and go to a place closer to our hotel in Santa Barbara. The restaurant and bar had a laid-back atmosphere and it was located next door to a marijuana dispensary. My wife and I went into the dispensary to look around before going into the restaurant. We found a couple of items that looked fun and intriguing. We didn’t buy any cannabis items from the dispensary, but we certainly were tempted to try some of the edibles.
