While the fancy hotels, casinos and The Strip of Las Vegas are certainly a draw, my cousin and I went there to visit the Neon Museum.
The place is like turning back the clock to when Vegas was just evolving into the glitter and glitz of today.
There are almost three acres of exhibits to explore, displaying restored original signs from the older casinos. Some of the signs date back to the 1930s. It is such a cool piece of history and really showcases the changing styles over the years. The lobby of the Neon Museum is actually from the La Concha Motel. Our second reason for spending our vacation in Vegas was legal marijuana. There is a recreational dispensary right in Las Vegas, and they offer every imaginable consumption method and some of the best strains. My cousin and I stopped at the dispensary every single day that we were in town and bought our limit every time. We wanted to try everything, but there are just too many options available. Just their collection of concentrates is a little overwhelming. We made sure to experiment with tinctures, pre-rolled joints, disposable vape pens and all different types of edibles. We bought classic brownies, cookies and a variety of candy. Unfortunately, it is illegal to transport cannabis across state lines, so we were unable to bring any of our favorites home with us. My cousin and I spent a ton of money in Vegas, but we had a wonderful time. We saw a couple of shows and rented a cabana at the pool. We are already planning another trip next year.
