My hubby and I went on holiday on the west coast; My fantastic friend and I rented a little home on the water that used heated flooring and a wood stove to keep warm.

They boasted about all orange energy too.

My fantastic friend and I had to burn actual wood and the heated flooring was really water based, then it was really cool, hippie like and all natural! After that experience my hubby was all about orange energy. My fantastic friend and I returned property to our Lowell, MA section and my hubby said we needed heated flooring and a wood stove, then he liked splitting wood and wanted to make that a thing. He enjoyed the feeling of hydronic heating. I abruptly steered him straight, first a woodstove in Lowell is a no go. My fantastic friend and I get temperatures in the teens. The winter season lasts about eight months out of the year. It snows for most of it! Where are we getting all this wood? Where are we storing it? Who is buying all of it? So the woodstove project was scrapped, but next to the heated flooring I did some calling around. I called our local Lowell, MA Heating and Air Conditioning dealer. They told us that hydronic heating is done with a boiler system. A boiler is really fancy. Then you need to hook piping to it, rip the floors to install the system, and then put a current flooring overtop to cover it, then so that project was then scrapped. My poor hubby. My fantastic friend and I can’t have orange energy sources. My fantastic friend and I instead have to rely on a boiler for most of the year that blows the same, stale air over and over again. It is just what you get when you live in MA.

I will confess that the freezing doesn’t bother me, it is the snow, i do not like that in Elgin, IL I have to always work on snow removal.

Then one Summer my associate and I tore up the driveway, installed the pipes, plus laid fresh granite over top. Then that winter season my associate and I finally got to experience the snow melt system, then gone is the snowblower. Gone is the snow shovel… No more ice chipping or pre heating the car. The boiler snowmelt system works ideally for Elgin living. I recommend it to every person I see in the area. I cherish that I maintain the driveway. I cherish that I have to do legitimately no work, what is great is that the furnace is protected too. No repair, repairs, or upkeep. The boiler can live around 50 years plus the snow melt system is around 20. It is perfect.

I even went one step further and hired out HVAC duct cleaning during the fall to ensure there was no dust blocking things, you can never be too careful about your health.

Since the floors feel so chilly I need to keep my temperature control at a higher temperature. My utility bills in the winter time are quite large. The winters in Birmingham, Alabama are cold. The season is long too. 6 months out of the year my pal and I use a heating system. My pal and I aren’t in a moderate state at all! I should have invented my heating component when I had the chance. I don’t sneeze when the furnace turns on or experience itchy eyeah in the morning. They say you can wait every 5-7 years for a cleaning, even though I do it bi-weekly.

So it was a fancy addition. I feel it is worthwhile. The chilly weather means pretty much everyone is stuck indoors, and my buddy and I might as well have as nice of air as we can get. These add ons were worth every penny spent in my opinion.
