I recently moved down south and I just appreciate it; I appreciate that I never deal with snow, below freezing temperatures, and ice.
I like that it is hot the vast majority of the year. I have been entirely smart with what I have purchased in my up-to-date area. I splurged to get a swimming pool to work out. I purchased a pool heating system so I can swim no matter the time of year. I also invested in a bicycle, then most of the time I can ride my bike to work. In the summer time I leave early enough that the heat and humidity doesn’t hit, then after 5pm the sun is going down and it is still pleasant; During the winter there are a few afternoons that I choose to drive due to the chill. A bike ride in 40 degree weather is doable in a pinch though. I save so much money and the environment by choosing my bike. It is better for my health and it is nice to beat traffic in the afternoon. I also invested in a great cooling system in my household. I purchased an older house which meant there was no ductwork established. Ductwork installation would have been too taxing on my antique house; So I choose a high velocity system. It uses ductwork however it is half the size, flexible, and bends into the slats of an older home, and no mess, disruption, or repairs needed. It creates an evenly cooled house at an affordable rate; The air hastily whips around the house and lowers my temp in minutes rather than hours. I just appreciate living in St, but petersburg.
