Before I moved to the Tampa Bay area, I was living down in Fort Lauderdale with my girlfriend of five years.

We tried to live in Miami but found that we could only afford housing in some of the worst and most dangerous parts of the city.

While Fort Lauderdale wasn’t a lot better, there were at least a lot of suburban neighborhoods along the outskirts of the city by the Sawgrass Expressway. Many of these neighborhoods are extremely serene and gorgeous in the architecture and landscaping, especially in the more affluent parts of town. However, the company employing me had to move to the Tampa Bay area to merge with the corporation that purchased them just months prior. Since I was just happy to keep my job at all, I didn’t complain about having to uproot our lives to follow this business to the other side of the state. I figured the weather would stay largely the same, but it’s not. We live near the border to Ybor City and there are a lot of rain showers that roll in from Old Tampa Bay throughout the late spring and summer seasons. The weather sometimes isn’t as hot as Fort Lauderdale because Tampa is further away from the equator by a hundred miles or so. Yet, this weekend I hear that temperatures are going to be in the high 90s for both Ybor City and East Tampa. I might get overheated while I’m out hiking Saturday afternoon, so I better prepare with extra water and sunscreen for the time I spend outdoors.

When I moved to Denver, CO, I was already using medical marijuana.

I couldn’t believe they included so many whys and wherefores in where I could and could not use marijuana. It truly amazed how much thought the Denver, CO lawmakers put into regulation for marijuana use. Once I figure out where all the places I cannot use marijuana are, I’ll look at the smaller list of where I can use. To be honest, I was afraid to use my medical marijuana anywhere but inside my home where I used to live. I don’t think my habit of usage is going to change now that I am in Denver, CO.

My friends and I go to the park every weekend to play football. I played pee wee football and then I was in a league. In high school I was on the varsity team and I played a little in college. He invited my siblings and I over every single week, hosting small barbecues in the backyard. I often take jobs that have me traveling all over the country. As a welder, I can handle a variety of different jobs. I make the most money when I handle underwater welding jobs. They require the most expertise. There really aren’t a lot of people that are great underwater welders. That’s one of the reasons why I have such a great job. It might also be the fact that recreational marijuana is legal in Seattle and all of Washington. Around here, people he’s their stress and relax with a marijuana joint. I honestly look forward to joining those people. I want to relax with marijuana too. I spoke with the company about the welding job and I agreed to take the job under a few conditions. After we hashed out all of the details, I finished the job on the east coast and got ready to move to Seattle.

I am so excited that my daughter got into the school of her dreams. All her life, she has been interested in becoming an artist. She has taken art classes as well as done some art workshops in our town. But the fact that she got into the University of Evansville’s art program is truly an accomplishment. This will place her on the right career track. The only problem is, I believe that she will probably stay in Evansville after she graduates. Whie Evansville is an amazing town, I don’t know if I can be that far away from her. Currently, we live in the Southern part of the country about 900 miles from Evansville. So, not only is it a different area of the country, but the weather is also different from what my daughter is used to. For most of the year, we have warm weather and our Winters are pretty mild. However, for Evansville, they get really cold temperatures that dip into the 20’s. I just hope that if she does choose to stay that she will be ok with the weather. As long as she has adequate heating and cooling in her home she should be fine. She always complained about the Winters where we live and have turned the temperature on the thermostat up to 80 degrees before. If you ask me, that is too hot, but that’s how she likes it. I hope that if she does stay she will find a place with a good working furnace that she can turn up to whatever temperature makes her comfortable.

I thought it was probably better to discreetly take a picture on my phone and share it with all of my friends on Instagram. Most people thought I should have asked for an autograph, but the experience was pretty neat just the way it was.
